As he receives Sierra Leone newly appointed Ambassador to China, the Director General in charge of Africa Affairs at the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mr. Wu Peng on behalf of the President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) vehemently condemned the recently attempted coup aimed at disrupting Constitutional Order in Sierra Leone.
Ambassador Abu Bakarr Karim paid a courtesy call on Mr, Wu Peng and expressed gratitude to the Chinese Government for its unwavering support with special thanks and appreciation on the recently conducted People-to-People Exchange programs that fosters capacity building of our citizenry. The Ambassador also elucidated on President Maada Bio Five Big Game-Changer initiatives emphasizing on ‘Feed Salone’ Project.
Ambassador Karim further discussed with the Director General about the proposed State visit of President Bio thereby highlighting the importance of keeping the Embassy updated on every aspect of the planning process.
Responding, the Director General emphasized that peace and stability are crucial factors in attracting investment, and assured continued Chinese support for President Bio’s agricultural vision.
The diplomatic exchange underscores strong ties between Sierra Leone and China ranging from political developments to collaborative efforts in fostering economic growth, infrastructural development and agricultural advancements.
