His Excellency Dr. Abu Bakarr Karim, the Ambassador of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the People’s Republic of China, has been formally accredited as the Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Royal Kingdom of Thailand.
The credential presentation ceremony was held today at the Amphorn Royal Palace, where Ambassador Karim presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua.
During the audience, Ambassador Karim conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, to the Thai Monarch.
The event formally marks the commencement of Ambassador Karim’s diplomatic duties in Thailand. He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the bilateral and multilateral relationship between Sierra Leone and Thailand for mutual benefit.

In receiving the credentials, His Majesty the King warmly welcomed Ambassador Karim and wished him success in his new role.
The ceremony was attended by senior Thai officials, including His Excellency Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, alongside traditional leaders and members of the media.
Ambassador Karim was accompanied by his delegation, which included Mr. Alpha Mohamed Gottor, First Secretary; Mr. Derek Yang, Commercial Counsellor; and Mr. Wayne Wong, Consul General of Sierra Leone in the Philippines.
